How to Replace Silhouette Glasses’ Nose Pads?

Silhouette Nose Pad Replacement
Replacing or adjusting the glasses is quite compulsory as after prolonged usage it may slide out of the place, hurt your ears, or pinch your nose thus here are some of the required measures that can be taken for the Silhouette Replacement Nose Pads.
Different Styles of Mount and How to Replace Them
The very thing is that one must look at what sort of frame you use. There are different types of mount that can be used – here are some of them: –
Screw on – This is one of the most popular mounts that are used by many – post with a hole on it that can slide to the closed catch at the end of the guard or pad arm. While replacing this style of pad remember to protect the lens from scratching.
Push-on or snap-in – If you look through all the frames or sunglasses you will mainly find that 80 – 85% of frames or sunglasses account for screw-in and push-on the mount. It is shaped like a beam and is either made of metal or hard plastic. This style of mount is the easiest to replace. A pad popper (tool) is available in order to help in the removal of the old pad or you can even use the screwdriver. Better use the finger to pop the new pad in the required place.
Primadonna – This style of the note pad is quite similar to the push on the mount and the only difference that can be found between these two nose pads is that it requires T shaped mounting attachment i.e. it hooks on the edges instead of being flat.
Slide on or Rimless – It is also prominent with the name Minimal Art and is designed for rimless frames thus acquiring another name for itself Rimless. These nose pads are easy to replace.
System “3” – This mount can be found in either a flat or rectangular shape and can fit either in the right or left glasses of the flame. The flat piece of metal that ends in an open box shape could be found near the near pad arms.
Method to Replace Nose Pad
After using it for the long term if the glasses are damaged then here is a step-by-step method to switch the mount.
Measure the old nose pad – Nose pads are generally measured at the millimeter and most commonly 1.0 mm or 1.1 mm could be found. Measure from top to bottom of the nose pad
Purchase replacements that are of the same size and shape as your old ones – as discussed above, nose pads come in different styles and thus you must choose the new or the old style of the same size and shape.
Remove the nose pad you want to replace – first hold your glasses gently then find where a screw is located near the nose pad after locating it gently place the screwdriver in the groove and rotate it. Henceforth, in the same way, attach the new nose pad you purchased.
